The advertised 30fps is impossible with raw YUV pixels in 720P on USB2. That's why I intend to use MJPEG (Apple call it DMB1 or OpenDMB) compression, which should definitely be provided by the video chip. In this particular case, I know for sure that format can be set to MJPEG through the libusb. Why CoreMediaIO does not make it available?
